This course invites you to explore the rich tapestry of Tarot history, its structure, and the myriad of decks available. For this class you will be asked to purchase or dedicate a Rider-Waite-Smith deck and maintain a Tarot journal, tools that will become indispensable as you traverse this path. You'll learn to cleanse, and consecrate your deck, infusing it with personal energy through ritual, and setting the stage for your divinatory journey. The course unfolds rooted in the symbolism and archetypal stories woven through the Tarot, including the nuanced interpretations of reversed cards and the significance of card connection. It then takes off on a deep dive into the Major Arcana. We will look at the variety of ways to take in the Major Arcana’s progression as a whole and break it apart for interpretation. You'll explore the symbolic meanings of the cards, before venturing into the second half of the deck. Transitioning to the Minor Arcana, we will cover the suits of Cups and Pentacles first, delving into their associated elements, symbolism, and how they manifest in readings. We will include numerical importance as we continue the study. The suits of Wands and Swords, completes your understanding of the tarot deck's four suits and their significance in reflecting everyday situations and emotions.
