Rooted in Peace, Open to Transformation

I love astrology but the moon holds a particular fascination for me. The new moon in Libra on 10/10 helped me open my heart & celebrate life. The upcoming Taurus full moon 10/26/26 invites us to return to the earth, reconnect with our bodies, and reflect on what truly nourishes us. We need to consider what deserves to remain rooted in our lives and what we may be holding onto out of fear, habit, or a longing for certainty. True security is not always found in keeping everything as it is; sometimes, it comes from trusting ourselves enough to allow change.

With Venus, the planetary ruler of Taurus, in retrograde, we are invited to revisit our relationships, values, self-worth, and understanding of love. Old patterns may become easier to recognize, particularly those involving attachment, reciprocity, and the ways we give our energy to others. Meanwhile, the tension between the full moon and Pluto emerging from retrograde deepens the invitation to examine power, control, and the structures we have built around ourselves. As Uranus and Pluto move toward a harmonious trine, the larger astrological symbolism speaks to liberation through transformation: the possibility of breaking free from outdated patterns and imagining a more authentic way forward. We need not fear every ending or cling to every familiar thing. We can honor what has sustained us while acknowledging when something has fulfilled its purpose.

This full moon offers an opportunity to practice discernment, release what no longer supports our well-being, and protect the peace we have worked to cultivate. Consider where your life feels abundant and where your energy is being drained by obligations, expectations, or attachments that no longer reflect your values. Spend time in nature, connect to spirit, nourish your body, tend to your home, and make space for quiet reflection. Let your roots remind you that grounding and growth are not opposing forces; we can remain anchored while reaching toward something new. As the moon illuminates the balance between holding on and letting go, may we find the courage to release what confines us, the wisdom to cherish what sustains us, and the openness to welcome the transformations that lead us closer to ourselves.
