Student of the Fall Term 2025: Kristina

Congratulations, Kristina! She brought such depth and openness to the Orisha Devotional class, expanding her own faith while uplifting her peers. In her own words:

I’m so honored to be chosen as student of the Fall term for 2025! I’m Kristina and I’ve been attending Bearbridge since 2022, but didn’t take my first live class until early 2023. Bearbridge has really changed my life. I went from a lost baby witch sifting through YouTube content to having a daily practice with meaningful spirit connections. While each class has contributed to my spiritual progression, there’s one class from the Fall term, in particular, that was filled with “a-ha” moments. That’s the Orishas class. Not only did I learn about spirits and faith that have largely been looked over in American culture but I got to establish relationships - relationships with several orishas and relationships with my classmates. The orisha spirits have so much wisdom to share with us. And if we just take the time to learn about them, their stories, the cultures from which they originated, and how they wish to be approached, they can open our minds and hearts to deeper levels of our spiritual journeys. One of the things I love and respect about Bearbridge, is the guidance of its instructors so we don’t unintentionally culturally appropriate but rather learn how to respectfully appreciate and honor other cultural practices. My wish moving into the Holiday term is for each person in this community to find what their spirit needs and to follow their curiosity with joy and enthusiasm!
